The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially approved the request from Pearlpia Ladies Football Club to change its name to Northern City Ladies Football Club, following the completion of all legal and procedural requirements.
This rebranding initiative, initiated by the club's ownership, aims to reflect a renewed identity that aligns with their evolving vision and regional representation in Northern Ghana.
The GFA, in its approval letter, confirmed the lawful change of name and the receipt of all relevant documentation.
The letter reads in part: "We acknowledge receipt of the letter from PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB requesting approval for a change of your club's name from PEARLPIA LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB (an incorporated company) to NORTHERN CITY LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB after a board resolution." "The Ghana Football Association (GFA) also acknowledges receipt of the incorporated documents of the change of name to NORTHERN CITY LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB from the Registrar General's Department attached with Registration Number CG030990525, and TIN, C0065497015 submitted to the GFA.
