The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved new league regulations for the Ghana Premier League, the Division One League, and the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League, set to take effect from the 2025/26 season.

The revised regulations aim to provide greater clarity and uniformity across all levels of domestic football, following a thorough review of the existing rules.

According to the GFA, the updates are intended to improve the organisation of competitions, enhance fairness, promote compliance, and ensure better governance of the leagues.

Key focus areas of the new regulations include matchday procedures, league structures, competition rules, player eligibility, and disciplinary systems.
