Policy analyst and founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has slammed a controversial statement made by an NPP communicator questioning why deaths seem to affect members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) more than those of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Taking to his Facebook page, Cudjoe expressed dismay at the level of insensitivity shown in political discourse. "I came to my safe place to ponder over life, respect and honour.

And then… why an NPP Communications officer would ask why NDC parliamentarians aren't dying like the NPP's," he wrote.

Cudjoe went on to express his shock at another statement made by the communicator: "Finally, I wondered why someone could be so callous to suggest that the last seat the NDC will claim will be Nana Akufo-Addo's special chair he carries around in a special V8." The comments that sparked Franklin Cudjoe's reaction were made by Paul Yemoah Yandoh, the Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the NPP, during an interview on Wontumi Radio.
