The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako, has expressed strong optimism about his chances in the upcoming by-election, set for September 2, 2025.
Mr.
Bediako said the NDC was well-positioned to secure victory following the Electoral Commission's declaration of the seat as vacant after the passing of the sitting MP, Ernest Kumi. "We are moving through the towns and communities to spread our message. "Today is a market day in Akwatia, and fortunately, our party office is close to the market. "We are starting there to engage the people and help them understand the need to vote for me and the NDC so that together we can drive development in Akwatia," he said while seaking to journalists in Akwatia on Sunday, August 17.
The NDC candidate emphasized that his campaign was focused on directly engaging residents, listening to their concerns, and highlighting the party's commitment to development in the constituency.
