Asante Kotoko have begun internal investigations into allegations made by former midfielder Justice Blay, who accused teammate Kwame Opoku of a personal betrayal involving his girlfriend.
The club has described the claims as troubling and unexpected, confirming steps are being taken to verify the facts.
Speaking to Luv FM, Communications Director Sarfo Duku expressed the club's disappointment with the nature of the accusations, particularly given Blay's previous standing with the team. "Justice Blay's comment is very unfortunate, it was least expected of him.
As a club, we are looking at the whole issue, we are investigating it and we may come out officially at the appropriate time," he stated.
