Asante Kotoko have responded to recent explosive allegations made by former player Justice Blay, who accused his ex-teammate Kwame Opoku of betrayal involving a personal relationship.
The club, through its Communications Director Sarfo Duku, has described Blay's comments as regrettable and assured that internal processes have been initiated to address the matter.
Blay, who was released by Kotoko in June 2025, alleged in a radio interview that Opoku had secretly been in a relationship with his girlfriend, a revelation that has sparked public debate and criticism of the club's handling of internal matters.
He also claimed that other former teammates smoke "shisha" in the club house.
