Former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Hawa Koomson, has broken her silence following the chaos that erupted during the Ablekuma North by-election rerun.

In a disclaimer posted on her official Facebook page, the politician revealed that she was physically assaulted by alleged "NDC machomen" while peacefully observing the electoral process.

According to her statement, the attack resulted in the forcible seizure of her personal mobile phone, raising concerns about unauthorized use of her digital identity. "Any calls, messages, social media posts, or broadcasts originating from my number from the time of incidence onwards should be treated as unauthorized and not from me," she stated.

Koomson urged the general public to disregard any communication from her digital platforms until she is able to regain full control of her accounts.
