Justin Kumi has joined Italian side US Avellino on loan from Serie A club Sassuolo, bringing added strength and promise to the Irpinia club's midfield.
Avellino confirmed the move in an official statement: "US Avellino 1912 announces that it has acquired the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Justin Kumi from US Sassuolo Calcio, on a temporary basis." Kumi, born in Castelfranco Veneto on July 16, 2004, developed through the youth ranks of Sassuolo and earned his first Serie A minutes in the 2023/24 campaign.
Last season, the Italian-Ghanaian made 11 appearances in Serie B, playing for both Sassuolo and Reggiana.
His switch to Avellino marks a strategic step for both player and club.
