Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen beleives top clubs will renew their interest in Antoine Semenyo again. His remarks come after the Ghana international netted a brace in AFC Bournemouth's 4-2 defeat in the Premier League opening game against Liverpool at Anfield.
Semenyo was strongly linked to several top clubs in the Premier League before signing a long-term contract with the Cheeries this summer.
Speaking after the game, the former England international lauded the incredible performance of the 25-year-old, adding that he will be sought after by big clubs. "I feel sorry for AFC Bournemouth because they have sold some of their best players, but they have managed to keep one of the best players at the club. "He [Semenyo] is strong and has speed, and I think he will be sought after by top clubs," he added.
Meanwhile, Semenyo suffered racial abuse in teh first half of the game, which forced the game to come to a brief halt.
