Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak will go on break on Wednesday, July 9, to allow players some time to rest following the conclusion of the 2024/25 football season.

Confirming this in an official club notice, the management of Hearts of Oak indicated that the team will regroup at a later date this month to begin pre-season training. "The team will officially break on Wednesday, July 9, and return later in the month to begin pre-season training," Hearts of Oak announced on Tuesday, July 8.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have also announced that they will no longer participate in the upcoming EKO International Tournament in Lagos, Nigeria.

In its press release, the club explained that the decision has been taken because the date for the tournament clashes with the off-season break of the team. "Originally scheduled for July 6-13, the tournament was later rescheduled to July 13-20.
