The Ghanaian clergy and government appointees have been called upon to foster unity and work collaboratively with President in advancing national development.

This appeal came from His Eminence Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and Social Sciences, during an interview with Bernard Avle on The Point of View show on Channel One TV, aired on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Reflecting on the recently inaugurated National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, Cardinal Turkson emphasised the importance of maintaining a strong and united relationship between the clergy and the presidency.

He noted that the clergy played a significant role during the 2024 elections and should continue to support the president in initiatives that promote national healing and moral renewal.
