Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo has praised former Black Stars captain Andre Ayew for his outstanding leadership qualities, while expressing confidence that current skipper Jordan Ayew will grow into the role.

Jordan, who plies his trade with Leicester City, was named captain of Ghana's senior national team in March ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Chad and Madagascar.

Under his leadership, the Black Stars delivered emphatic performances, thrashing Chad 5-0 and securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Madagascar.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Sibo acknowledged Jordan's dedication and leadership potential but believes Andre's command on the pitch remains unmatched. "Jordan Ayew is a good player, and his commitment is unquestionable, but I think Andre Ayew's leadership skills are above Jordan's leadership skills," he said. "You can always see Andre controlling the players on the pitch when he was with the team, but now that Jordan Ayew has been given the armband, maybe we can see something different from him," he added.
