Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo says is aims to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title with the Black Stars and go far in the World Cup should the team qualify.

Ghana, who are four-time AFCON champion, last won the prestigious trophy in 1982.

The team has come close in 1992, 2010 and 2015 but finished as runners-up.

With Sibo yet to make his debut for the Black Stars, the 27-year-old is targeting ending Ghana's AFCON trophy drought. "It has been a long time since the Black Stars won a trophy, and my biggest aim is to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Black Stars and even at the World Cup, I wish we go far," he told Asempa FM. "Morocco played in the semifinals in the last World Cup in Qatar, but I aim to help the Black Stars win a trophy when I get a call-up," he added.
