The management and partners of Happy 98.9 FM have paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu at his residence in New Fadama.The visit followed the successful conclusion of the 2025 SalahFood FEST cooking competition which took place at the forecourt of the National Chief Imam.The delegation was led by Mr Ernest Boateng, Group CEO of Global Media Alliance, and includ­ed key stakeholders from the radio station and its corporate partners.The visit took place on the sidelines of the SalahFood FEST competition and was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the media house and the Muslim community.Speaking about the visit, Mr Boateng expressed gratitude to the National Chief Imam."We are honoured to pay our respects to His Eminence and thank him for his continued sup­port," he said.The 2025 edition of SalahFood FEST witnessed enthusiastic par­ticipation from competitors drawn from various Zongo communities including Nima, Mamobi, Sabon Zongo, Fadama, and Ashaiman.

Participants showcased their culinary skills in a vibrant compe­tition that celebrated the rich food culture of these communities while competing for amazing prizes provided by Happy 98.9 FM and its partners.Corporate partners who sup­ported the initiative were also rep­resented during the courtesy call.

Representatives from Tasty Tom, Fortune Margarine, Frytol Cooking Oil, and Jibu Water, all sponsors of the Happy FM SalahFood FEST competition, joined the delegation to pay their respects to the Nation­al Chief Imam.The courtesy call underscored the mutual respect between the media organisation and the religious leader, highlighting the importance of maintaining strong community relationships.The National Chief Imam, on his part, expressed gratitude to Happy FM and its partners for their continued commitment to community engagement and cul­tural celebration.He praised the initiative for its role in bringing people together and promoting peaceful coex­istence among Ghana's diverse communities.His Eminence also requested support and collaboration for upcoming activities, including the National Maulid celebration which commemorates the birth of Prophet Mohammed."We appreciate the opportunity to continue building bridges with community leaders like His Emi­nence," Mr Boateng added.The SalahFood FEST has grown over the years to become one of the most anticipated community events, combining entertainment, culture, and healthy competition while strengthening bonds within and across Zongo communities throughout Ghana. BY TIMES REPORTER
