The High Court in Accra has directed prison authorities to present Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, in court as she and three others prepare to open their defence in a separate criminal trial.

This followed the dismissal of a submission of no case filed by her legal team, with the court ruling that the accused have a case to answer.

Nana Agradaa, currently serving a 15-year sentence at Nsawam Prison for charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence, was absent when the case was called on Monday, July 7, 2025. "We requested a warrant for her to be brought to court any time the case is called," a prosecutor told the court in response to her absence.

Her lawyer, Richard Adade Baffour, appealed for the ruling to be delayed until she could be present, but the court denied the request and ordered her to appear at the next sitting.
