A knife-point robbery targeting a pregnant woman in Ho has ended with a 19-year prison sentence for the main suspect, Paul Avortide, also known as "Tinted." The case, which drew attention in May, began when Avortide attacked the victim, Ogechi Chidiebere, around 4:00 a.m.

on May 21, 2025, as she was on her way to the Ho Municipal Hospital for antenatal care.

Armed with a machete, he made away with GH¢3,000 and her Tecno Spark 30c phone, worth GH¢2,500.

Weeks later, on June 19, police made a breakthrough by arresting 23-year-old Harmony Nbonu-popularly called "Arab Money"-at the Ho Main Market.
