The Minister of Health, Kwaena Mintah Akandoh, has disclosed that six regions in Ghana still lack regional hospitals, a gap the government is working urgently to address.

According to him, the government, through the Ministry of Health, is introducing a policy that will allow experienced physician assistants and nurses who have served for a number of years to pursue medical education and qualify as doctors. "We are about to implement new policies.
