A former Minister of Defence and Member of Parliament for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul, has waded into the health of legislators and Ghanaians in general, underscoring the need for everyone to pay particular attention to the food consumed daily.
While contributing to a debate on the floor of Parliament on Wednesday following the laying of the motion on the Fisheries and Aquaculture Bill, 2025, Mr Nitiwul advised the citizens to avoid consuming fatty foods since it was not good for their health. "If you have a protruding stomach, you're sick because of the accumulation of fat.
And so, you need to look at the food you eat and pay attention to your health," he said.
The Bimbilla legislator, however, clarified that his comments did not imply that fat persons are sick.
