The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, captured attention in Parliament on Wednesday, July 2, appearing in full Indian attire to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his official address to Ghana's Parliament.
Acquah wore a cream-coloured sherwani, a traditional Indian long coat, paired with a matching turban.
This outfit, typically reserved for formal or ceremonial occasions in India, notably stood out in the parliamentary chamber, symbolising cultural respect during the Prime Minister's address.
The Prime Minister of India is currently on a two-day official visit to Ghana.
