The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Prof , has initiated legal action against certain individuals following allegations that he engaged in lavish state-funded travel and conducted unauthorised recruitments within the institution.

In an exclusive follow-up statement to on Thursday, July 3, 2025, Prof Gyampo revealed that, acting on the advice of his legal counsel, he has commenced legal proceedings to pursue his accusers in court for defamation.

He remains resolute in his decision to seek justice, adding that an official apology issued by the media house - where his accuser, Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah, a member of the NPP National Communications Team, made the allegations - would not deter him. "Although the radio station on which the allegations were made has issued an apology, [he] in a follow-up telephone conversation indicated his intentions to remain resilient and focused on his core duty," portions of his statement read.

Nevertheless, he vowed to seek justice at the courts of law.
