Award-winning Ghanaian highlife artiste, Eugene Kwame Marfo, popularly known as Kuami Eugene, has responded to accusations made by social media personality Archipalago, who recently described him as disrespectful following a failed attempt to initiate a music collaboration. Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM, the "Angela" hitmaker clarified what transpired, expressing his disappointment over how the situation has been portrayed.Archipalago had earlier alleged that Kuami Eugene deliberately refused to engage with him over a phone call arranged by a radio presenter, describing the artiste's behaviour as disrespectful. "I only called to talk about a possible collaboration, but his attitude was very disrespectful," he claimed. "If he doesn't want to talk, that's fine.
But he shouldn't act like he's above everyone." In response, Kuami Eugene explained that the incident was misunderstood and that he never intended to snub Archipalago.
Recounting the moment, he said: "After the interview, I was going back to my hotel, and the presenter said I should drop her on the way.
While we were going to drop her off, Archipalago called her that he heard I was in the studio, and that he had a song he wanted to do with me so she should give the phone to me so he talks to me.
