The of Ghana has announced a rerun of the Ablekuma North parliamentary elections in selected polling stations of the constituency.

The rerun of the elections is scheduled for Friday, July 11, 2025, in 19 polling stations, following several months without parliamentary representation in the constituency due to an impasse that prevented the declaration of a winner in the 2024 general elections.

According to a press statement by the (EC) dated Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the decision was necessitated by the fact that the results from the 19 polling stations used for the collation had not been verified by the respective Presiding Officers. "After extensive deliberations, the Commission informed the Political Parties that it would proceed to rerun the election in 19 out of the 37 Polling Stations. "The Commission arrived at the decision to rerun the election in the underlisted Polling Stations because, the 19 scanned Polling Station results used for the collation, though approved by Agents of both Political Parties, were not verified by the Presiding Officers responsible for those Polling Stations.

The Election will be held on Friday, 11th July, 2025," portions of the statement read.
