Former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, will not defend any former government appointee arrested for embezzlement.
He is of the view that if such persons are arrested, the opposition political party should not just jump to their defence just because they are their members.
Rather, he believes that if such people are found culpable and there is evidence for their prosecution, the law should be allowed to take its due course. "I've been a member of parliament in this country for eight years, I've been a deputy minister, and I am not an ordinary Ghanaian who will jump on a propaganda bandwagon.
If things come to me, I have to internalise it," he told Channel 1 TV's Umaru Sanda in an interview monitored by mynewsgh.com.
