Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the (NDC) has responded to what he describes as "unfounded and defamatory" allegations made by Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare (Kwaku Azar) regarding an ongoing criminal case involving Singaporean national Toh You Kang.
In a press statement issued through his legal counsel on July 1, 2025, Gideon Tettey Tetteh, Moore rejected claims of extortion, political abuse, and human rights violations levelled against him, urging the public to allow the legal process to unfold without interference.
According to the release, Moore filed a complaint in May 2025 with the Greater Accra Regional Police Command against Toh You Kang, citing fraud by false pretence.
Kang was subsequently remanded and has been in custody for the past five weeks.
