The legal team for Maxwell Kofi Jumah, former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, has defended him against allegations of vehicle theft, stating that he has submitted documents proving ownership of the two vehicles found in his possession.

The Ghana Police Service earlier said it had retrieved three vehicles allegedly stolen from GIHOC Distilleries by Mr Jumah, who is now assisting with investigations.

According to the Police, the recovery followed a formal complaint by GIHOC which led to the arrest of Mr Jumah on Sunday,  June 29, 2025.

Officers picked him up in Kumasi after requesting an interview and later transported him in a police pick‑up to the Ashanti Regional Police Command.
