The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the NPA and legal practitioner, Edudzi Tamekloe has criticised suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo for what he describes as a deliberate distortion of historical facts related to the gruesome murder of three high court judges and a retired army officer on June 30, 1982.
Speaking on JoyNews's Newsfile on Saturday, June 27, he rejected Justice Torkornoo's recent claims that Adu Lodge-a government facility-played a key role in the planning of the murders.
He described her assertions as historically inaccurate and politically motivated, especially with the country days away from commemorating Martyrs Day.
Justice Torkornoo made the comments during a national address on Wednesday, where she questioned the selection of Adu Lodge as the venue for proceedings related to three petitions seeking her removal from office.
