A historic cultural exchange took place at the Manhyia Palace when the Asantehene, , welcomed His Majesty King Mswati III of Eswatini with two emblematic gifts symbolising unity, heritage, and a shared vision for Africa's future.
During the colourful durbar held in honour of the visiting monarch, presented two symbolic gifts: the "Tontonsansan" communication artifact and a "Unity Staff." Both items were crafted to reflect the deepening relationship between the Asante Kingdom and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The first gift, referred to as the "Tontonsansan," was described as a traditional communication tool adorned with cowries a symbol of sustainability and prosperity.
Crafted to signify dialogue and engagement between the two kingdoms, the artifact serves as a metaphorical mouthpiece, strengthening the voice of unity between the Asante and Eswatini peoples.
