The government is set to roll out its much-anticipated 24-hour economy policy on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with Presidential Advisor Goosie Tanoh confirming final preparations are complete.
The initiative - a flagship campaign promise of the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 elections - aims to tackle unemployment and boost job creation by restructuring work cycles nationwide.
During the formal submission of the policy document to the Speaker of Parliament on June 26, Tanoh said the move marked an official notification to lawmakers ahead of the national launch.
He outlined the policy's structure, which is anchored on three key pillars: production transformation, supply chain and market efficiency and human capital development.
