The much-anticipated encounter between two of Africa's most revered kings, the ruler of Eswatini, King Mswati III, and the king of Asanteman, Asantehene , happened on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Before meeting the Asantehene, King Mswati III addressed Ghana's National House of Chiefs, praised the chiefs for their contribution to Ghana's development, and called for greater collaboration with his kingdom.
After addressing the National House of Chiefs, the ruler of Eswatini and his entourage were treated to a tour of the Manhyia Palace Museum, where he was educated on the rich history of the Asante Kingdom.
From the museum, King Mswati was taken to the Manhyia Palace to finally meet the Asantehene.
