The National Chairman of the ruling (NDC), , has reacted to rumours that he is eyeing the party's presidential candidate position for the 2028 general election.
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews on, June 25, 2025, Asiedu Nketiah, who sought to address rumours of his presidential ambitions indicated that it was too early to be discussing who leads the NDC to the 2028 polls now.
While signaling that such an early move is disrespectful to Ghanaians, he said that he would not rule out the possibility of becoming the party's flagbearer.
He explained that politics is ruled by ambition, and therefore, it does not make sense for one to say they will avoid certain positions. "No serious politician rules out any position.
