The Presidency has dismissed claims that the ongoing procedures for the possible removal of suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo are politically motivated.
This follows remarks by Justice Torkornoo suggesting that the process may be flawed and politically engineered.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, June 25, Minister of State in charge of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, rejected those assertions, describing them as baseless and unfortunate.
The minister further expressed regret over the Chief Justice's alignment with what he describes as narratives propagated by the opposition. "Any claim, inference or innuendo of a political motive to the president in respect of these processes is unfounded, false, and I wish to place that on record.
