A total of 220 former Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) who served under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government between 2017 and 2024 have declared their support for Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
Their endorsement follows a closed-door meeting held with Dr.
Bawumia, at the Alisa Hotel Hotel on Monday, June 23, during which he engaged the former local government appointees on his future political ambitions.
