A former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr Stephen Amoah, who recently openly declared his support for Kennedy Agyapong, the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, has been severely criticised for attempting to discredit former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Sticka, as affectionately called in political circles, claimed the former Vice President is not a force to be reckoned with ahead of the 2028 polls if he is presented as the party's candidate.

But figures from the 2024 elections revealed that Vice President Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia beat him with more votes in the Nhyiaeso Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
