Former Member of Parliament for Anyaa-Sowutuom, Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi, has described the composition of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) national executives as the party's biggest weakness.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem on June 20, 2025, Dr Kissi said the current NPP leadership lacks the parliamentary experience needed to steer the party strategically, especially when compared to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). "I'm ashamed to say this, but our NPP Chairman compared to Asiedu Nketiah, our General Secretary compared to the NDC, when you look at it critically, in terms of managerial role, we (NPP) have lost some parliamentary experience," he stated.

He noted that several figures in the NDC leadership have held ministerial and legislative positions, which gives them an advantage in terms of experience and institutional knowledge.

Dr Kissi's comments come in the wake of the NPP's defeat in the 2024 general elections, as the party begins internal efforts to re-strategise and regain public confidence.
