The Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has criticised the (NPP) for a perceived prioritisation of political power over the welfare of Ghanaians.
According to him, the NPP's main focus has been to secure power instead of serving the interests of the Ghanaian people.
In a citinewsroom.com report on June 18, 2025, Dr Omane Boamah suggested that the NPP has strayed from its original promise to serve citizens. "The Competent Economic Management Team did enough damage to pensioners, people with disabilities, women, the youth, and Ghanaians in general in six short months.
Instead of sincerely apologising for their misdeeds, they are focusing on the next elections," he added.
