Celebrated dancehall artiste Emmanuel Andrews Sammini, professionally known as Samini, has lauded the leadership of President John Mahama, particularly commending recent efforts by the judiciary to hold public officials accountable.
Speaking on the maiden edition of PrimeTime with George Quaye on Joy Prime, the music legend highlighted what he described as a growing sense of justice and transparency in Ghana's governance system. "As I speak to you currently, what we are seeing… I'm a happy Ghanaian," Samini said, reflecting on the visible strides being made in strengthening the country's accountability framework.According to the award-winning singer, the current developments - especially in the area of law and order - are worth celebrating. "I like the fact that people are being brought to book and justice is being served - or it seems like justice is going to be served.
Things like that, I am for," he emphasized. Samini used the platform to make it clear that his views are driven by principles, not political loyalty.
In his words: "I won't sit here and be walking on eggshells because I think that maybe a certain favourite of mine might be in trouble.
