The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved the 2025/26 GFA Omnibus Competitions Calendar at its meeting held on June 9, 2025, following a comprehensive presentation by the General Secretary.
The new football season will officially commence on July 1, 2025, and conclude on June 30, 2026, aligning with the GFA Statutes and the Association's accounting year.
In formulating the calendar, the GFA has taken into consideration the 23rd FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026, ensuring that all elite domestic competitions conclude before the commencement of the global showpiece.
Key Highlights of the 2025/26 Competitions Calendar: Premier League: All matches will be played on Sundays, with midweek dates reserved for outstanding fixtures, mirroring the structure of the 2024/25 season.
