The remains of a man who drowned during the evening of Saturday, June 14, in heavy rains have been retrieved at Iron City, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
The victim, identified as N.K.
Godfred, believed to be in his early thirties, drowned after falling into an uncovered and flooded gutter while returning from work amidst the rainstorm.
According to eyewitnesses, Godfred attempted to cross the open drain despite warnings from bystanders. "Someone cautioned him when he attempted to cross, but he underestimated the situation.
