A tragic incident has left seven students from Lawra Senior High School feared dead after a canoe capsized in the Black Volta River near Dikpe, Upper West Region, on Saturday morning.
The students, part of a group of ten from the school's cadet corps, were reportedly engaged in a routine morning jogging exercise when they attempted to cross the river into Burkina Faso.
According to a report by myjoyonline.com, the canoe overturned midway, throwing all occupants into the water.
Three students managed to swim to safety, but the remaining seven are missing.
