The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced a postponement of the implementation of the Tariff Interpretation Order (TIO) No. 2025/004, which pertains to the Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1141).
This move delays the expected increase in the Energy Sector Shortfall and Debt Repayment Levy (ESSDRL) on selected petroleum products, which was initially scheduled to take effect from June 16, 2025.
In a circular signed by the Commissioner-General, Mr.
Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, the GRA said the directive follows consultations between the Ministry of Finance and relevant stakeholders. "This directive is issued to postpone the implementation date of Tariff Interpretation Order (TIO) No. 2025/004 relating to the Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1141)," the statement read.
