Past President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, Dr Kwaku Krobea Asante, has urged the government to give nurses what is due them.

According to him, since nurses have agreed to go back to the wards today, June 14, 2025, there is a need for the government to fulfil its part in ensuring that their conditions of service are met.

He has kicked against any attempt by the government to renegotiate the terms of their condition of service. "The bottom line of the matter is that we have come to the point where we have to deliver a solution to the problem.

The solution, which I keep saying, is in the hands of the minister and nobody should bring the nurses back to the table to say we are renegotiating," he said on Accra-based TV3.
