The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has dismissed claims linking the association to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following rumours sparked by the political affiliation of the association president's spouse.

Speaking on the Channel One Newsroom on Friday, June 13, the Deputy Public Relations Officer, Philemon Gyapong, stressed that the GRNMA's decision-making process is entirely independent and non-partisan.

According to him, during their recent strike, some members of the public attempted to label the action as politically motivated, an assertion he firmly rejected.
