Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has cautioned local government officials against using upcoming sanitation contracts for personal gain.
This follows a decision by the Presidency not to renew the long-standing contract between the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and waste management company Zoomlion Ghana Limited.
The Office of the President, in a letter dated June 11, 2025, and signed by Secretary to the President Dr.
Callistus Mahama, responded to Azure's April 27 petition by confirming the expiration and non-renewal of the YEA-Zoomlion contract.
