Renowned economist Kwame Pianim has commended President John Dramani Mahama's leadership style, emphasising that he is the only leader positioned to "reset Ghana" amid the country's critical challenges.

Pianim made these remarks on Wednesday, June 11, during a courtesy visit by the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) to the Jubilee House in Accra.

He praised the president's willingness to listen and act, especially in addressing teachers' concerns. "Here we tend to underpay our teachers but with you as a listening president, I was happy when they were coming; they said let's go and talk to the president - I said with this president if he tells you he is going to do something, he will do it," Pianim said.

He also highlighted the gap between Mahama's leadership and unfulfilled promises made by others, citing the example of a promised 10,000 houses for teachers that never came to fruition. "Someone told them he was going to give them 10,000 houses, they got zero.
