A pregnant student sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) shocked many after going into labour and giving birth during her ICT paper.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Asenua Presbyterian Junior High School Examination Centre in Mamponteng, located in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, a policewoman escorting the candidate to the washroom on the first day of the examination noticed signs of distress.
Upon entering the facility, she discovered that the student was already in labour.
