The National Labour Commission (NLC) is scheduled to receive a crucial status report on June 25 regarding mandated engagements between the government and the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA).
This development follows a High Court's decision to grant the NLC's application for substituted service, enabling the Commission to formally deliver injunction orders to the GRNMA.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Tuesday, June 10, Julia Pwoawuvi, the Assistant Public Relations Officer of the NLC, underscored that, subsequent to the substituted service, the striking nurses are now legally compelled to halt their industrial action and enter into discussions with the government without delay.
She emphasised that both parties are expected to return to the Commission on June 25 with a status report.
