Former Member of Parliament for Anyaa-Sowutuom, Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi, has criticised the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for what he describes as excessive and premature actions in the case involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, June 10, he questioned the basis for declaring Ofori-Atta a wanted man and accused the Special Prosecutor of acting as though the former minister is guilty without a fair legal process. "I think the OSP overstepped and almost made the person guilty without any defence or proper homework.
A suspect doesn't mean you make him a criminal already.
The Special Prosecutor is overreaching, and that's where I'm coming from," the MP stated.
