The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has cautioned that fully implementing the current demands outlined in the conditions of service for nurses and midwives could severely destabilise Ghana's economy.

His comments come in the wake of the ongoing nationwide strike by members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), who are pressing for the immediate implementation of improved service conditions.

Addressing the issue on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, Mr.

Akandoh acknowledged the government's willingness to continue engaging with the union.
