Member of Parliament for the Sissala West Constituency, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, has defended the actions of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), insisting the office is simply carrying out its constitutional mandate in its pursuit of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, June 10, Sukparu emphasised that the OSP is acting based on established procedures and public petitions, dismissing claims of political vendetta. "Until somebody petitions and an issue is brought against someone, the Special Prosecutor has no grounds to act.
There are corruption-related issues that have been brought against the former Finance Minister, and the OSP is just doing its job by investigating those matters," he said.
He added that the OSP has, in his view, been "charitable" towards Ofori-Atta since the matter began in February 2025.
