In a scene straight out of a movie, police in Kasoa arrested a man who posed as a medical doctor-complete with lab coat and stethoscope-to scam people with fake overseas travel deals.
The suspect, Fredrick Papa Kow-Assifuah, was picked up on Thursday, June 6, 2025, in a police-led intelligence swoop by the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID) at Crispo City in the Central Region.
He wasn't just pretending-he dressed the part.
Police say he was caught red-handed in his "doctor" outfit while waiting to meet yet another victim he had baited online.
